Privacy policy

What Paused FYI stores

We store the account details you provide, your followed shows, collections, playback positions, tracking fields, imports, and the notes, quotes, tags, and timestamps you intentionally save. We also process basic request and device information needed to secure and operate the service.

Why it is used

We use this information to authenticate you, keep your archive available across devices, refresh podcast metadata, provide support, prevent abuse, and improve reliability. We do not sell your personal information or use your private archive to target advertising.

Podcast and video providers

Importing or playing media can send a request to the source provider, including Podcast Index, a podcast host, or YouTube. Those services handle that request under their own privacy terms. Paused FYI stores a normalized copy of public show and episode metadata so your archive remains coherent when a provider is temporarily unavailable.

Service providers and security

We may use vendors for hosting, email delivery, authentication, and infrastructure. Stripe processes subscription payments and billing details. We store the identifiers and subscription status needed to manage access, but not complete payment-card numbers. Providers receive only the information needed to perform their services. We use reasonable safeguards, but no internet service can promise absolute security.

Retention, export, and deletion

Your Account & data page provides a JSON export of your archive. We keep account data while your account is active and as reasonably necessary for security or legal obligations. To request account or archive deletion, email support@paused.fyi from your account address.

Contact and changes

Questions or privacy requests can be sent to support@paused.fyi. We may update this policy as the service changes and will provide reasonable notice of material changes.
